Walking along the Rio Grande Bosque during the fall is priceless. The colors and wildlife are a pleasure to enjoy.
Picnic along the Guadalupe River in the Jemez Mountains
While everyone was in town watching the balloons, we headed to the Jemez Mountains to see the fall colors. It was beautiful but still needs another week.
The Guadalupe River is a small tributary that feeds the Jemez river. If you are coming from the south, you enter this beautiful valley by going through the old Gilman logging railroad tunnels and gorge. The tunnels were blasted out of the side of the mountain back in the 1920′s. The scenery in the vicinity of the tunnels and up the valley is spectacular.
The Mykonos Windmills
The Mykonos Windmills are the symbols of the whole island. They were the first things we saw from the ship and can be seen from every point in the village.
