Albuquerque Rio Grande Nature Center
PSquared Art attended the 2011 Albuquerque Rio Grande Nature Center Herbfest and Arts & Crafts show this year. It was a successful show supporting the Nature Center. Many of the activities at the Herbfest included the sale of plants along with artist selling some wonderful artwork.
Also, the animal rescue group brought some beautiful raptors for everyone to see up close. These birds have had something happen to them where they cannot be let go back into the wild. I was able to get some fantastic pictures of these beautiful birds.
Saint Frances at Mondavi Estates
This was so appropriate for Pati and I. We have St. Frances sculptures all over the place at our house. We saw this guy in the one year barrel room at Mondavi Estates and loved it. We also loved the wine!!!
Napa Valley Windmill
This shot was taken from the parking lot at Mondavi Estates. If you are ever in Napa, you must take the private tour at Mondavi. They do things right.
Black Swan at the Embassy Suites in Napa, CA
There were two white swans and two black swans at the Embassy Suites in Napa.
This guy was a hoot. The other three pretty much ignored you, but if you said….
“Her Boy, Her Boy”, he would swim right up to you and then look at you with the look -
OK… I am here FEED ME!!!
San Francisco Shoreline

Took this picture down by Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.
The water was coming in along the shore just inside a shaded area.

I love this time of year. These are a couple photos from my morning bike ride along the Rio Grande.
Fall Colors Along the Rio Grande
Walking along the Rio Grande Bosque during the fall is priceless. The colors and wildlife are a pleasure to enjoy.
Last Day of the International Balloon Fiesta
Today was the last day of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. I took my coffee with me and parked in the Sam’s Club parking lot to watch the final balloons fly by.
Picnic along the Guadalupe River in the Jemez Mountains
While everyone was in town watching the balloons, we headed to the Jemez Mountains to see the fall colors. It was beautiful but still needs another week.
The Guadalupe River is a small tributary that feeds the Jemez river. If you are coming from the south, you enter thisĀ beautiful valley by going through the old Gilman logging railroad tunnels and gorge. The tunnels were blasted out of the side of the mountain back in the 1920′s. The scenery in the vicinity of the tunnels and up the valley is spectacular.
The Mykonos Windmills
The Mykonos Windmills are the symbols of the whole island. They were the first things we saw from the ship and can be seen from every point in the village.
